FCC Preschool:

  • We are a non-profit early childhood education center that is sponsored by First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Paducah, Kentucky.
  • We are licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Division of Regulated Childcare with highly-qualified teachers and teaching assistants in every classroom who are all trained in pediatric CPR and first aide.
  • We are dedicated to providing your child with the very best early childhood education possible and realize the significance of our role in laying the groundwork for all of their future educational experiences.
  • We strive to teach both social-emotional and academic skills in a loving and supportive environment which are reflective of Kentucky's early childhood learning standards and the seven domains of learning.
  • We have and have always had an excellent reputation throughout Paducah and the surrounding community.
  • We encourage parental involvement in our various events and activities throughout the school year as family schedules permit.
  • We follow the public school calendar and are not in session for major holidays, breaks, and inclement weather days.

FCC Preschool began in the early 1970s as an in-house kindergarten. When kindergarten was moved to the public schools, a four-year-old class was added. The growing demand for early childhood education options has allowed us to expand throughout the years and we now offer classes for children as young as 18 months all the way up to five-years-old.

Our philosophy is that every child is unique and loved by God. We believe that each and every child that comes through our doors should leave knowing that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need in order to be successful in their future academic endeavors and life experiences.

Teachers and staff are all trained and certified in infant and child CPR and first aide. A plan is implemented to ensure that only parents or those authorized by parents pick up children after school. Surveillance equipment is on-site and church visitors are restricted to enter through one door that is closely monitored and must be buzzed in by church staff. All preschool visitors must enter through a different church building entry door that is also locked at all times. Emergency drills are conducted on a monthly basis, and an emergency disaster plan is in place and will be implemented in case of a large natural disaster where emergency evacuation is required.
